The decorations at the Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort evoked a sense of history and romance, reminiscent of 15th-century Portugal. The medieval paintings and stained glass throughout the resort created a unique and charming atmosphere. 

The staff were excellent, the hotel itself could do with a bit of work, bit tired in places, but on whole a very enjoyable few days spent there.

Quaint & well managed hotel with excellent pool yet virtually on the beach. Back-up automatic electric generator was a Godsend as mains electricity supply to the area was very erratic. Very good value.
